1. We reported it to Horizon twice but the people in Michigan City didn't seem to understand or care which is typical for them.This app consistently removes deposits and withdrawals from the history so it can never be trusted to give an accurate amount for how much is in your account.

2. Better to just switch to literally any other bank as everyone else has seemed to have apps figured out for years while horizon consistently releases updates that seem to do nothing.I use this app regularly and apply every update.

3. Sometimes the balance reflects the pending already taken out, and other times it doesn't show them taken out.

Load time can be a bit slow by today's tap-and-go standards, but I'm never in THAT much of a hurry to use my banking app, but this app isn't beyond my tolerance for something I want to initiate a pretty secure connection.I can't tell if this is an app problem, or a bank problem, but either way its unacceptable.

5. When I go to the bank for a balance, it doesn't show the pending amounts.

6. When I log in to deposit checks, the error page says "You must be logged into our mobile app to deposit checks." Not sure how you can even get served that page without being logged in.

7. We need an accurate reading of our balance.The transfer money feature is constantly malfunctioning.

8. I'm deleting it.What is going on? Normally we don't have an issue with the app, but for some reason it is showing pending withdrawals that should have been taken out over a week ago.

10. If that stops working, I'm switching banks.Good except it's slow to load and you can't use the back button on your phone to navigate between pages.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Horizon Bank Issues

1. Fix Horizon Bank Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Horizon Bank: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Horizon Bank App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Horizon Bank" » Open Horizon Bank Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Horizon Bank » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Horizon Bank Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Horizon Bank servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Horizon Bank Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Horizon Bank app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Horizon Bank might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Horizon Bank. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Horizon Bank then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Horizon Bank not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Horizon Bank be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Horizon Bank not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Horizon Bank may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
