PlayerSpace Customer Insights

1. I'm a software developer so maybe I'm picky, but the navigation is terrible (difficult to find what I'm looking for), my Android back button doesn't work (which is super annoying), there aren't any notifications, so I have no idea when there are new messages, clicking on the address for games opens Maps but not to the specific location (and copy/paste isn't allowed)... the list goes on and on.

2. It's like this company has never done a usability study and just put together one of the most difficult to use apps and websites for sports management they could! You need to start over, as there is really nothing good!Worst team app ever.

3. There's no way to select all messages and mark as read in the inbox; you have to open each individually.Can't get past the login screen - tried multiple times, even checking through the website I've got the right username and password.

4. I even reached out to support for help and they told me to exit the app and try again because they tried and it worked fine.. useless.Doesn't let me log in 90% of the time.

5. Probably some user errors on part of the ymca staff, however I'm sure the badly designed software didn't help.I can't even log in but can on the website.

6. Its bad enough that if an organization isnusing this as the only means of communicating we'll pick a different organization for youth sports.Now app no longer works after update on 9-6-19 on my Galaxy s8.

7. Who randomly checks an app hoping there's an update from coach about practice/game cancellation or location change? The text message option has never worked.

8. I wish the YMCA would use something better!!I am a volunteer coach with soccer and the only way to retrieve my roster was through the website.

9. And most of my info doesn't show up (again, it works fine on the website).

10. Worse than useless.If you're a decision maker who is responsible for choosing what software to use for league/team management i urge you: DO NOT USE THIS APP.

11. The whole point is to be able to use the mobile app to manage info and check kids in/out of camp, and none of it works.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PlayerSpace Issues

1. Fix PlayerSpace Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PlayerSpace: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PlayerSpace App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PlayerSpace" » Open PlayerSpace Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PlayerSpace » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PlayerSpace Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PlayerSpace servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PlayerSpace Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PlayerSpace app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PlayerSpace might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PlayerSpace. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PlayerSpace then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PlayerSpace not working


2. Fix PlayerSpace Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PlayerSpace be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PlayerSpace not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PlayerSpace may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
