Instagram Customer Insights

1. This app drives me so nuts sometimes.In the last couple of weeks, when I am using the app, it will randomly change to either an all white screen with photos or everything other than the photos will be black.

2. I use IG mostly for video chats and all of a sudden I can connect to Bluetooth and I no longer have a full screen of the person I'm talking to nor do they get a full screen of me it's just two half photos on top of each other.

3. The screen also becomes partially white and black at times, making it difficult to read text.The app is honestly my favorite social medias, and the only one that I reliably use, but there's just so many thing wrong with it that it's hard to recommend it to anyone.

4. Or the fact that only some devices get newer content such as notes, chat themes, and most recently the ability to use songs in notes, and I'm also able to use said features on my 2nd account but not the primary one.The app has always had issues, my confusion is that they continue to get worse.

5. I have two "Video can't be posted" notifications stuck at the top of my page from the first attempts, now my reel has been stuck loading for half an hour.

6. Another example, when I'm scrolling through reels, after a certain point, I will scroll where the reel says, "This reel is unavailable" and the app will immediately crash.

7. There's the fact that the screen will randomly become half light and half dark mode.

8. Ex: The messages could be in light mode, then you exit to the home screen and it's in dark mode.

9. These are both broken essential features.The color scheme is constantly turning white and once it's done that your unable to select anything.

10. When the screen is black, I am unable to see any words, only the photo.

11. But every update seems to introduce new bugs rather than features while keeping the old bugs.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Instagram Issues

1. Fix Instagram Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Instagram: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Instagram App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Instagram" » Open Instagram » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Instagram » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Instagram app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Instagram servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Instagram" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Instagram app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Instagram might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Instagram. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Instagram then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Instagram not working


2. Fix Instagram Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Instagram be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Instagram not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Instagram may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello Support, Thank you so much for approving my Ad feature on Facebook and reaching out to me. However there is a slight setback for my business promotion moving forward. I want to also go big and Promote my Ad activity on my instagram Platform: (https://www.instagram.com/__.viktor) I have an audience of almost 12,500 people there. The problem is on August 5th, my account was compromised with a hacker (b*****4@redacted) whilst the mail accounted for in that account is “victor.mtui2018@redacted” I would love to recover back my account. I was clearly hacked and you can see this in the direct conversations I had with @kieradanielleee21 who gained access to my email and sabotaged my instagram account. The hacker immediately even permanently deleted the recovery options Instagram sent to my mailbox so there is nothing much I can do. And in search for a solution I was told to talk to A Facebook Support Agent. Please may you be as kind as to help me with this situation moving forward. My Large Instagram engagement is key to Ads I enquire upon to make my Business work. I BLOCKED my card in accepting any Ad payments at the moment since I don’t know if I am in full control of my Facebook Account. The hacker may have acquired my personal details.
