1. Then if I set autopay, they take the funds 2 - 3 days before rent is due but, if I do it manually then sometimes they take the money instantly, other times it sits as "processing" for 3 days after you sent the payment.Update: My rental company had to fix the problem since Zego reps tried to hold my bank account hostage.

2. They have the worst customer service!Whole point in me getting the app is to pay my rent online and can't do that.. Everything show up beside one time payment tab that shows online using a computer but you can't click on anything or make any type of payment if I wanted to.

3. There's no way for you to create notes/comments on your payments system, if I'm making a payment for three, there's no way to tell if that's is considered when making payments.

4. We were told if we paid directly from our checking account that there would be no fee so that's what we've always done but about 2 months in that changed &now they charge$3 just to make a payment without ever notifying us of any change.

5. I gave the app 4 stars because I was not able to change my address when I moved and continue having my payments recorded.I've been using this app for 2 1/2 years now.

6. $3.95 with the notion it might not be processed in time? And $14.95 for express pay! Feels mighty scammy and a way to make a profit off people paying bills.Frustrating to use and even worse when you need consistent payments.

7. This has happened several times trying to make a monthly payment.Garbage. Thermostat scheduling doesn't work, it always just resets my settings -- if it ever even accepts my changes at all.

8. Convenience is good but fees are not.Was going to use this to help pay rent for three tenants, but changed my mind after seeing the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Zego Resident Issues

1. Fix Zego Resident Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Zego Resident: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Zego Resident App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Zego Resident" » Open Zego Resident » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Zego Resident » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Zego Resident app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Zego Resident servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Zego Resident" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Zego Resident app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Zego Resident might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Zego Resident. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Zego Resident then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Zego Resident not working


2. Fix Zego Resident Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Zego Resident be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Zego Resident not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Zego Resident may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
