1. Why isn't the app updated yet? Why does it require profile information and direct access to the phone and network connections? Why does it need the device ID? These are very unusual permissions for an app that simply allows users to enter a parking zone and pay for a parking session. It'd be great if meter maids actually checked it, but it was a rude surprise coming back to a parking ticket after paying through the app, long before my paid time expired.
2. Now it"s HORRIBLE! Only allowing me to add time up to the next new hour -- meaning that for instance if it's 3:35 in the afternoon it will only allow me to park until 4!! What in the world is up with that? Tiny slider to select parking time is way too small and finicky, even if it did work correctly! VERY upsetting! You will get parking tickets with this app.
3. tickets are $90 each you cannot cover a sign with a construction sign and expect people to know that you cant park there that's a set up while the guy behind me giving out free needles and crack pipes doesn't have to pay for parking that's Boston for yaThis app no longer works.
4. A minute and 20 seconds or so with each parking space and in 30 days you've lost a full 40 minutes of parking time. This app would be great if it warned you of blackout times in certain zones such as street sweeping in Boston.
5. Whether calculated or due to incompetence, the result is the same. This is more about the city of Boston it's hard enough to park here let alone parking at a courthouse this sign that said no parking was covered if this was not my last day to pay this ticket I would not be paying it so many people got tickets.
6. In general, app requirement for parking in Boston discriminates against elderly and low-income population.I used to love this app.
7. For example I recently paid for 1 hour 12 minutes of parking, $2.50 + a $0.30 convenience fee.
8. It's ok when it works but if you rely on this just realize you will likely have to dispute tickets. All too often I pay for my time, only to find I am shorted by a full minute or more.
9. You should let users submit the info then add warnings for zone restrictions during those hours, similar to the navigation apps allowing you to report speed traps. This app and other apps developed by PassportParking inc.
10. The slider bar to set the timer is very finicky to set a specific number of minutes, and the time of day markings are poorly labeled.
11. There is apparently a major gap between when you use the app and how parking enforcement can see that you've paid.
