Speakly Customer Insights

1. I really love this app; there's so much to unlock and there's a ton of features (how many language apps suggest music for you?) to justify buying the lifetime subscription (which I did) but every other word it drops out with an error; then it says I haven't learned any new words on the My Classroom page.This app is great.

2. Once the question is revealed on the next screen you can click it, but who'd notice after it previously didn't work on a fairly identical screen! Also, the "my sentences" feature is underpowered and doesn't do anything I'd expect after having used other language apps.

3. But a few things bother me a lot in the modules I use most, like it doesn't let you click and translate individual words in review mode and only shows the Cloze blank but ignores the whole rest of the word! Missed learning opportunity.

4. And since there's no way to reset your progress, everything just keeps getting worse and worse.I feel like it could genuinely be the best language learning app out there with how well it teaches, it's easy to navigate UI, and the multiple helpful features--if not for the bugs.

5. It's weird how I don't understand quite how but I find myself retaining words and actually being able to form sentences with a good amount of accuracy without being able to explain it (grammatically).

6. :-/The good first: the vocabulary choice is excellent! It's really useful, commonly needed words, unlike Duolingo where you learn about dolphins before you even learn adverbs! LOL.

7. It has so many practical and valuable features to help learn a new language, but it is constantly crashing, kicking me out, freezes in a loading frame.

8. Also, the unlimited languages in the lifetime subscription is the bomb! The transcripts and listening exercises are unparalleled! Only Beelingua and LingQ have those, but not in a holistic way this app does.

9. Very unique app.Absolutely amazing UI design and from what I can see a great methodology for language learning.

10. I went on the desktop app and the servers seemed better but then during a study lesson there was a flashcard that rendered on the side of the screen and overflowed, and I couldn't flip it to continue! 😔I really like the way this app works.

11. No one expects a foreign language learner to know the special ь in spelling which makes so little sound difference.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Speakly Issues

1. Fix Speakly Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Speakly: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Speakly App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Speakly" » Open Speakly: Learn Languages Fast » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Speakly » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Speakly: Learn Languages Fast app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Speakly servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Speakly: Learn Languages Fast" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Speakly app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Speakly might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Speakly. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Speakly then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Speakly not working


2. Fix Speakly Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Speakly be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Speakly not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Speakly may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I was recently double-billed for the lifetime subscription. I purchased it for $69 through an offer I read online. After getting the confirmation code, I downloaded the app onto my iPhone, only to be billed again for $99.99

  • I purchased Speakly in mid October (a lifetime membership). I had been using Speakly daily up until yesterday. I have been unable to access for the past 2 days. When I tried to send a e mail as a registered customer using my e mail to identify my account, I received an error message that my e mail is not recognized by Speakly.me
    Is the website down for some reason or do you need to tweek my account so I can regain access.
    Your help is appreciated.
