1. By the way, please don't ask me to email customer service because everyone is having the same problem and you already know it, so please fix the app or shut it down.They don't notify of you a monthly payment change or short payments and just wait to say surprise you owe us an absurd amount of late fees because they don't contact their customers.

2. until this update and change of passwords, can't use any of 4 previous ones have to come up with totally new ones, How I'm supposed to keep up and remember all my passwords??? This gets me confused because I have also other passwords for other my personal stuff and account, and I don't remember sometimes which one goes where.

3. This app, is garbage.I should have "listened" to other users because, no matter what I select (make a payment, statements, etc.), I get the "please wait" error message, which just spins and spins, with no way out, except to close down the app.

4. It stays stuck on the page requesting phoneEverything was perfectly fine, was making my payments for long time without any problems logging in to my account.

5. Two years later they are still terrible with the app can't get passed the two step verification so I can't sign in to pay my mortgage.

6. Go elsewhere to refy if competence is your thing.The "remember me" and "do not challenge me on this device for 30 days" features do not work.

7. What I can't stand is the whole experience of this app is shotty, hard to navigate, and I can't pay my mortgage bi weekly like I could before and not have to worry about if it's going to go through or not.

8. Now it is impossible to remember any password and you end up resetting it time after time.

9. It's useless!Terrible app!!! They have made me change my password so many times it's ridiculous.

10. And the drop down menu is so high on the screen that you can't access it!The way I was paying my mortgage before this was perfectly fine.

11. While my mortgage was in the process of being transfered to this, gave me the impression it would be finished by then.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Newrez Issues

1. Fix Newrez Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Newrez: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Newrez App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Newrez" » Open Newrez » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Newrez » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Newrez app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Newrez servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Newrez" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Newrez app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Newrez might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Newrez. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Newrez then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Newrez not working


2. Fix Newrez Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Newrez be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Newrez not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Newrez may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
