1. I've been locked out of my account numerous times over the past year, this time they want me to go into the local branch, problem is thay their branch is in another state.

2. Not sure if it is the app or my phone, but other bank apps haven't had this problem.

3. Doesn't even attempt to read your phone's contacts so you need to add them again within the app if you want to send them money.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Flagstar Issues

1. Fix Flagstar Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Flagstar: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Flagstar App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Flagstar" » Open Flagstar Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Flagstar » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Flagstar Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Flagstar servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Flagstar Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Flagstar app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Flagstar might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Flagstar. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Flagstar then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Flagstar not working


2. Fix Flagstar Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Flagstar be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Flagstar not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Flagstar may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
