1. The new RehearScore® is a complete digital rendition of the Piano-Conductor Score, sequenced by a top Broadway accompanist, precisely the way the composer intended.
2. Sometimes, finding a rehearsal pianist that meets your budgeting and scheduling needs can be challenging.
3. Learn your music and run rehearsals right from your mobile device using the new RehearScore App!
4. Every musical number (including scene changes, dance music, and underscoring) is recorded in its entirety so you can rehearse even if you don’t have a pianist. ○ Simply download the App right from the Google Play Store to access your show! ○ With the ability to change the tempo and loop a dance break, you can run multiple rehearsals at once without the need of a separate pianist or recording. ● Find the right key – transpositions are easy. ○ Adjust your songs into the key that best suits your performer. ● Isolate, increase, or remove any particular vocal line. ○ Because each singer’s part has been recorded on a separate track, it can be played back with or without accompaniment (or louder or softer, relative to the accompaniment). ○ Edit the songs down to the specific cutting you need and find the perfect number of vamps you’ll need in each song. ○ After adjusting the songs, save your changes to distribute to your cast and crew.
1. This is an important step forward, but I'm anxiously awaiting the next round of improvements. The mobile version has removed so many important features from the original laptop: -can't give different vocal parts each their own patch sound -can't control the balance of parts on the Android version -no metronome click for steady beat I've never heard of a great piece of software having features removed, rather than added.
2. Very disappointing. This is a great tool for learning vocal parts for musicals, but the iOS version has sliders against each voice to set the volume that the Android version does not.
3. The inability to adjust the volume of different parts makes it impossible to hear your part within the whole context.
4. You can hear your part alone, but that is also confusing because you don't have an accompaniment to listen to and reference where you are at in the song. The app version is very restrictive and limited compared to the previous laptop version, which I understand is no longer available.
5. The ability to adjust the volume of individual parts seems to be missing, at least in the Android version.
6. Definitely need the volume sliders for the vocal parts added to the Android version.
7. It is good for learning the actual notes, but you can't practice singing with the whole ensemble and actually hear your individual part.RehearScore is a great app.
8. The lack of volume controls for individual parts is infuriating - but since my rehearsal tracks don't have the vocals it doesn't matter anyway.
9. The iPad version had newer features than the android version and many of the iPad features were very helpful.
10. Features such as assigning different voices to different parts are missing.
11. This means that you can sing along with the accompaniment, but it is very difficult to distinguish your part from the other characters or even instruments.
