1. It is constantly down for "maintenance"; the mobile deposit does not work on a pixel 7 (camera just closes out and doesn't take a picture) and they want access to ALL of your information on your phone, which is 100% not warranted to operate the app.

2. Why can't the darn thing just work?Used this app for years until just recently they asked for absurd permissions like my location, access to microphone and camera, contacts, and permission to make and receive calls.

3. As I said, when it works it's fast and convenient and let's me do most of my banking from home, but the glitch is extremely frustrating!The app is rather clunky, but I haven't had any real problems with it except since the last update.

4. From errors indicating that mobile banking is unavailable, to being informed bill pay isn't possible at the time, to never-ending loading screens when launching the app, it's one big pain in the neck.

5. Might need to find a different bank if I can't use their app through a phone.Horrible. M&T you've been around for years and its 2022....how can your app be this bad?? Always have issues with trying to login DAILY.

6. I've talked to customer service on 3 different occasions and they claimed to have "fixed it" for me but it still does not work.The app has always been clunky, but at least you could see what you needed.

7. This makes the app completely unusable for me, and endangers my ability to pay bills.App is essentially useless, it is ONLY convenient for electronically depositing a check and that's ONLY if the software works.

8. UPDATE: canned response to any complaint doesn't enable you to reach a human being or actually describe your problem.

9. My camera will open, the flash will turn on, and then the phone app will immediately close and return me to the deposit screen without actually taking a picture.

10. However, with a recent update the App is no longer functional without giving access to my phones contacts and location.

11. I can say 100% for sure, I would never want the m and t app to access my phone's contacts.

1. Fix M&T Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart M&T: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the M&T App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "M&T" » Open M&T Mobile Banking » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for M&T » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear M&T Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from M&T servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "M&T Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check M&T app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, M&T might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall M&T. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall M&T then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing M&T not working

2. Fix M&T Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make M&T be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to M&T not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, M&T may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
