1. Also, it would be nice if you could customize the notification sound, at least for the app, and even better would be a customized sound for each camera.Very easy to set up app using P2P but playback does not work.

2. 3) when exiting you get a 'are you sure' notification needing mouse.For those users with no video or stuck at 99%, you need to change camera preview to "main" in the app.

This app is like software from the 90s, needs massive user interface improvements.The app's interface is horribly designed and not intuitive at all, and once you actually learn it the worst thing about it is when playing back video, the scrubbing controls make it impossible to accurately land on a timestamp.

4. What has happened?As many users, I do not receive push notification when my phone is asleep but I receive them once I wake it up so I miss all the people at my door! I do not have this issue with other apps.

5. This app totally sucks and is not user friendly at all! There is no automatic playback when you get an alert and a error message saying "failed to download picture".

6. I can't find any help or support area to ask how to do this and it doesn't work from the playback video page.

7. It doesnt offer a date and time selection, you can only scroll back from the current time which is very time consuming if you need to go back more than a few days.

8. Admittedly, the app wasn't entirely intuitive to setup, and I now seem to be having an issue with the notifications (this may not be Dahua's fault).

9. Dahua really need to address this failure, or refund my money!This app was really easy to use and worked well until they did an update.

10. Video is VERY difficult to navigate through, no rewind function and can't pick a certain timeframe so I don't have to filter through 24 hours of footage to see a 10 second event.

11. Also, the last couple of weeks I started having problems getting timely push notifications.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix gDMSS Plus Issues

1. Fix gDMSS Plus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart gDMSS Plus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the gDMSS Plus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "gDMSS Plus" » Open gDMSS Plus » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for gDMSS Plus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear gDMSS Plus app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from gDMSS Plus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "gDMSS Plus" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check gDMSS Plus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, gDMSS Plus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall gDMSS Plus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall gDMSS Plus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing gDMSS Plus not working


2. Fix gDMSS Plus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make gDMSS Plus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to gDMSS Plus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, gDMSS Plus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hi.... I'm currently using MI A1 mobile handset and I am unable to access gdmss plus (dahua cameras) app camera live videos on mobile data. It's only possible on wifi. How to resolve this issue
