1. Loaded with over 25,000 paddling locations for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards (SUPs) Go Paddling (formerly Launch Sites) provides an easy way to find a great place to paddle nearly anywhere.
2. So get out there and go kayaking, canoeing or stand up paddling!
3. Each launch point includes details posted by fellow paddlers.
4. Browse the map to find the closest places to paddle.
5. Add new locations and comments to existing locations.
6. Go Paddling is created by paddling. com and is completely free.
1. One suggestion I would add to the email is a link to optionally add the trip's planned end date/time as a calendar item to pop-up a reminder for friends and family to not forget to check on their paddlers. This is everything I want in one easy to use app.
2. The user reviews are the most useful aspect so I hope others don't have the same trouble.I think other reviews are accurate, for constantly making the top of "best paddling apps" list this definitely leaves something to be desired.
3. The constant reminders about life jackets are nice but this app isn't my mother (or is it? Mom is that you?) I'll still use the app to find places and launches but that's about all it seems good forDecent as a sorce of information but a horrible interface.
4. It has been an invaluable tool for us to ultimately find spots to kyack and plan river trips. This is a great idea with horrible execution.
5. The next day (one week after the email was expected), it finally arrived in my inbox. The "I wear a lifejacket" button push requirement every time the app loads is annoying and nothing else.
6. This app give paddlers reviews and pictures, Google maps, and directions to launch points for lakes, rivers, and all sorts of navigable waters.
7. It's really helpful to find launch locations that are rated by other paddlers.
8. I'm unable to search/filter by features (like parking) or find paddle trails of a certain type (no whitewater, calm, out-and-back).
9. Creating a "trip" is way too complicated and regimented - I just want a simple bucket to store options in with personal notes.
10. We used this app and ended up replanning the entire trip on the fly.Great app for finding new access points.
11. I have tried forest service, state, and national park website as well as pocket ranger type apps.
