1. The last one, I was able to contact a real person who, even tho her system was acting up, was able to get mine reset.App has always been great until this last year every couple weeks I get data network is busy or unavailable error messages which the only thing I can do to get back on app is uninstall and reinstall then go through enrolling again.

2. It's frustrating & of course occurs when you're under a time crunch.AWFUL!! I try to log in with the CORRECT username and password and always get an error message and am unable to access my account.

8. I do miss the feature on bill pay where it told me when the payee was last paid and for what amount.

9. The new app is lame, not user friendly, took away great features, finger print, and it's so slow!!! The colors and font in the app are so BAM IN YOUR FACE.

10. Key features like bill pay and mobile deposit are found via a floating plus button on the bottom.

11. This never happened with the First Bank & Trust app, before Byline took over.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Byline Bank Issues

1. Fix Byline Bank Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Byline Bank: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Byline Bank App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Byline Bank" » Open Byline Bank Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Byline Bank » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Byline Bank Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Byline Bank servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Byline Bank Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Byline Bank app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Byline Bank might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Byline Bank. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Byline Bank then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Byline Bank not working


2. Fix Byline Bank Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Byline Bank be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Byline Bank not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Byline Bank may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
