The button needs to be removed and there also needs to be more preferences.in the eyes of the public ..I declare that it's amazing to me from the perspective of a individual whom at 63 still learning new unimaginable technology and practical user friendly that I never thought I would even come closer to the world of Dick Tracy.. sortho speak exploration of space and the miniature world of compact!!!all that we need is at hands reach ..well you are not the exception.

3. There's an unnecessarily large button at the top of my homescreen search page; anyone who owns or used a phone that brings up Google when swiping to the left has probably seen it.

4. While looking at what TV and movie options are available whatwever show is currently playing "live" automatically plays, using your phone's data.

5. This has been happening since I've gotten this phone and it's becoming a problem because I have yet to find a solution other than change providers.Interesting app overall.

6. But my phone is "metro" so it was technicnally preinstalled and keeps trying to update.

7. I've been with MetroPCS for over 10 years and am going to start researching other carriers due to this and Metro zone popping up all the time even after disabling.

8. I've unlocked the phone for use with another carrier that uses Tmobile compatible phones (which Metro phones are).

9. What sucks are the apps like this one that refuse to completely uninstall.Stop installing random games on my phone.

10. When you try to disable it from popping up on your homepage after the phone's screen has been off for a while, it's there again.

11. This is intrusive and should be illegal, and whoever decided to do this should be fired and is a complete out of touch idiot.Editing this to replace prior rant about it being obvious bloatware to say it is also super sneaky.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MetroPlay Issues

1. Fix MetroPlay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MetroPlay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MetroPlay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MetroPlay" » Open MetroPlay » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MetroPlay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MetroPlay app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MetroPlay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MetroPlay" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MetroPlay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MetroPlay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MetroPlay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MetroPlay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MetroPlay not working


2. Fix MetroPlay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MetroPlay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MetroPlay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MetroPlay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
