MetroSMART Ride Customer Insights

1. Which is great but having the added diagnostic GPS tracking Wi-Fi what's the Wi-Fi, disturbance detection it's anti-Theft system but the Wi-Fi doesn't work that great have to be honest and a couple of other features really just makes my car more complete.

2. It sent the contractors to my home instead of the location my vehicle wasI used to love the previous version but the service degraded over the last year, and now the upgraded version is even slower to respond.

3. There are so many benefits that come just from having it, trouble codes let's you know when an issue arises, the exact location of your vehicle at all times, it has a hot spot and state farm roadside assistance that's on the app.

4. Thats what I like!!! Definitely recommend this to everyone! Thank you!I like the somewhat accurate statistics it has when I drive my truck, but what I really don't like is that when I attempt to turn off the Wifi Hotspot, it gives me an error saying "Device may be offline.

5. The first 2 times there weren't any issues however the last 2 times the app gave the contractor incorrect location of vehicle.

6. The more that I learn the new features and how to use them then I love it more.App doesn't show location unless I sign in & out multiple times.

7. One more thing...the program seems to be now mainly beneficial for vehicles made after 2012 UPDATE: The program no longer works with my 1997 Buick!!!!Excellent, i have an older 97 Tj Wrangler which means no new tech.

8. Whatever they did with last update, really messed it up for my phone.Amazing. This app, WHEN INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED PROPERLY, works wonders.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MetroSMART Ride Issues

1. Fix MetroSMART Ride Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MetroSMART Ride: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MetroSMART Ride App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MetroSMART Ride" » Open MetroSMART Ride » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MetroSMART Ride » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MetroSMART Ride app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MetroSMART Ride servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MetroSMART Ride" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MetroSMART Ride app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MetroSMART Ride might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MetroSMART Ride. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MetroSMART Ride then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MetroSMART Ride not working


2. Fix MetroSMART Ride Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MetroSMART Ride be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MetroSMART Ride not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MetroSMART Ride may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
