1. Once it's fixed, I'll gladly leave a glowing 5-star review. Many furigana are wrong (but the audio is correct). There are many features, mostly good, but enough errors to make it untrustworthy compared to a dictionary like Takoboto or an app like Kanji study.
2. maybe increase the photo limit some for the free users though. The app seemed like a good idea, but when I paid for Premium, it didn't work and the app kept showing ads and locking features as if I hadn't paid.
3. I love the furigana assistance in reading current news, so we are not alienated from the current state in target population whose language we are trying to familiarise in.I just use it to bookmark new words but I can't figure out how to delete them from groups once I've added them.
4. I took away 2 stars because when I highlight vertical lines of Japanese manga texts in a speech bubble, the app automatically reorder the texts from left to right, which is incorrect! In manga, you read Japanese texts from right to left.
5. There are limits to different folders for lists of Japanese words to be learnt.
6. I use the screen translator to read Japanese manga.
7. Good app, easy to navigate. When I paid for this, I initially was unable to 'verify' my account and there was no obvious solution.
8. It will correctly recognize what's basically two squiggly lines as dai from mondai but it will also recognize a kanji`s shape even if the stroke order is wrong.
9. I will try to find a similar app that works and that has better customer service. This dictionary has some of the best handwriting recognition I've ever seen.
10. The app also has additional features such as flash cards, word lists, translation from photos, etc.
11. But I'd recommend it just for the handwriting recognition alone.Purchased premium solely for the screen translator.
