1. Would be good if they had more control for language learning, like choosing how many loops (2x for every subtitle and it automatically plays after a short while) and not just having infinite loops, faded native language titles, more keyboard shortcuts, cloze, repeat scenes after 5 minutes- first in native language then in target.
2. I would love to see the ability to set a pause in the video between displayed sentences so I can catch up while reading both languages before it continues. It's a great app! I love the idea and it's definitely a key part of language learning: finding content that you like in the language.
3. Also, when watching video in fullscreen, the bar with the time and battery life and everything at the top of my screen is visible and cuts off some of the buttons. This app is really great, totally helps with listening comprehension which is my problem area.
4. Also, it is very annoying to click on words that are on the mobile website and have 3 blue buttons pop up that won't go away for like 10 seconds and that cover up half of the original sentence (not the translated one) so that I can literally not click on words in real time.
5. i am able to touch words or phrases in the subtitles and see their meaning in real time.there are many languages available as well and you can find shows from specific countries.
6. However there is 1 thing that is a little annoying and I don't know if there is a setting that can fix this but when I am watching a show after a few minutes the screen turns off and I have to unlock my phone to continue the show.I like what they have started here and hope to see it get better.
7. There is not an easy account deletion option, you have to fill out a form and then email them, theres no way of knowing if these actually get responded to or if it deletes the account, without signing up first.Love this app for the most part.
8. the reasons i didnt put 5 stars is the selection is limited, there is high latency when i start the show and when I go back a few seconds.I had it for about a year and hardly used it because when I would study I would try to write down every word it didn't know which got exhausting and I would only do a few minutes.
9. watching shows to learn a language is so smart, plus you can slow down the speed as needed.
10. You can't turn off your screen when mirroring or casting on Android or iPhone without disrupting the video.
11. Even unaffordable for many all at one time which I've seen discussed on language sub Reddits.
I would like to permanently delete my account.
