Compass Customer Insights

1. 🤷🏿 ♀️This app is complete garbage! Account information doesn't update, for days sometimes, making it very difficult to monitor balances, transactions,etc.

2. My balances and transactions are no longer accurate since it's been a month since it last synced and this causes a lot of issues when I'm trying to check my current balance before making a transaction.

3. Overall this has been such a helpful tool with managing my money and it has helped me to adjust to a more comfortable budget!The worst I seriously wish LGFCU would get something better than thus to connect accounts.

4. My husband and I can not use and access the same account because only one phone number gets the security text message EACH TIME YOU LOG IN.

5. However, for over a month now the app has stopped syncing to my bank account and comes up with an error when I try to sync it.

6. The error message says its the bank, but I have no problem logging directly into that bank accounts using their website.

7. You cannot transfer funds from account to account either.App STILL doesn't syncs with any bank account.

8. I haven't added outside accounts yet so I may update this review but I'd definitely recommend this app based on what I've seen so far.Not worth installing.

9. App stopped syncing/updating my accounts a couple of years ago and they haven't fixed it yet.

10. I can't on my end.This app is extremely helpful with keeping up on how much I spend monthly, what I use my money for, and how I can budget more money towards different categories in my life.

11. It was designed to view all your financials in one app and it stopped doing that a long time ago.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Compass Issues

1. Fix Compass Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Compass: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Compass App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Compass" » Open Compass » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Compass » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Compass app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Compass servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Compass" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Compass app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Compass might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Compass. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Compass then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Compass not working


2. Fix Compass Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Compass be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Compass not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Compass may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
