Remote Customer Insights

1. Middle screen has some real doozies of stupidity: cursor menu does DOUBLE DUTY as VOL/CHAN buttons and these MOST USED BUTTONS are the 2ND selection!!! (They're also unmarked!)its functional but little else.

2. Finally a remote that works on my Sony Bravia, and especially it doesn't need to be reconnected each time I try to use it.

3. However, I will stick to the free version as I find the yearly fee too much of a commitment as I would prefer it was a one-off purchase.I've only begun using the app (3/24/23), and based on my initial usage and testing, I give this app high marks.

4. LOTS of empty space AROUND the buttons on all 3 screens, instead of using that space in the most EFFICIENT & LOGICAL WAY: increase size of buttons (or even the space between them, so you only hit what you want, not their neighbours) 2.

5. 4 stars for now, if the app proves to be as good as it appears so far, then I will upgrade to 5 stars.Subscription is too expensive, batteries for your regular remote are far cheaper.

6. Will find an app that works and uninstall this.Paid for Pro and it's worth it, however keyboard input would be greatly appreciated and the TouchPad control is so unbelievably slow, like a pixel at a time with no acceleration.

7. If it was without subscription, meaning only a single charge, I would have probably bought it, but otherwise it's not worth it.Constantly brings up subscription pop-up when pressing keys.

8. Would be fantastic to see those problems addressed, otherwise it's good design and useful, better than the real remote!Worthless.

9. ONE THE SECOND PAGE, TAP NAV, YOUR CHANNEL BUTTONS BECOME VOLUME BUTTONS.

10. I have been using two different apps with minimal or unreliable functionality to achieve less than this single app provides.

11. I apologise for my hasty start.The ads are such a pain when you need the remote.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Remote Issues

1. Fix Remote Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Remote: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Remote App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Remote" » Open Remote for Sony Bravia TV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Remote » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Remote for Sony Bravia TV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Remote servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Remote for Sony Bravia TV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Remote app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Remote might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Remote. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Remote then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Remote not working


2. Fix Remote Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Remote be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Remote not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Remote may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
