KOCOWA+ Customer Insights

1. Finally, in the Android TV version, the 'thumbnail' pictures for each episode are useless because a huge triangle covers the people's faces.This is my fourth review, and third app update; Kocowa has fleshed out the app a bit more, adding movies and the ability to add friends and family members to an account.

2. I start a video and the tracker runs the length of it, then it jumps to where I left off, but, the time doesn't move despite the video playing and the control options are stuck on the screen until the runtime begins to move.

3. The captions are slow to appear once the control options have finally faded, and then I have to push the back button to see what I missed while the video played but refused to be acknowledgedFrequent ''maximum session concurrency reached'' errors.

4. Sometimes I just want to enjoy an episode in my free time.Unlike some reviewers, I have had no issues whatsoever with the new app.

5. Fix these issues.My biggest problem, glitches aside, is the fact that I can no longer watch any content on my phone.

6. I have no idea why it has changed to subscribers only being able to watch on casted devices.

7. On the continue watching section, only the first episode Ive watched is available...but it starts over.

8. The chinese apps were so much easier and offered some free movies to watch.

9. I've never tried to use the app at the same time on two devices, and even if I did, the error should occur only on the *second* device.

10. Having it on my phone just seems repetitive and pointless if I have to watch somewhere else.

11. I prefer to try to sample and decide if I want to subscribe or not, but I don't like being forced to make a decision immediately.Lot of bugs The app is installed on my tv.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix KOCOWA+ Issues

1. Fix KOCOWA+ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart KOCOWA+: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the KOCOWA+ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "KOCOWA+" » Open KOCOWA+: K-Dramas, Movies & TV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for KOCOWA+ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear KOCOWA+: K-Dramas, Movies & TV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from KOCOWA+ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "KOCOWA+: K-Dramas, Movies & TV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check KOCOWA+ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, KOCOWA+ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall KOCOWA+. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall KOCOWA+ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing KOCOWA+ not working


2. Fix KOCOWA+ Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make KOCOWA+ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to KOCOWA+ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, KOCOWA+ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
