1. My daughter loved the experience of the Metrolink.able to use the app to pay and purchase the train ticket but the train real live tracking doesn't seem to be working.

2. I'm used to Sound Transit in Seattle where you can buy a ticket and keep it indefinitely until you press "activate"Edit: This issue is fixed now! WOO! The QR code doesn't render properly on the Google Pixel.

3. All that has to happen is for the QR code to be a little lower on the screen.17 and younger free! On my first trip I bought a ticket for my daughter and I thinking a youth ticket is needed come to find out that 17 and younger is free.

4. Wish the metrolink consider making this two essential features for the riders.Good for ticket management, bad for service alerts.

5. But, you have to buy a ticket to save a card, so, unless you want sit by the train with your card out, fiddling around with it, you have to buy a ticket that expires before you can use it.

6. Very frustrating!Why can't we purchase tickets in advance? What is the point of the ticket wallet if I must use the ticket the same day? Very few would need more than two tickets.

7. I assumed you could buy a ticket and it wouldn't expire until you activated it, but I was wrong, meaning I just wasted $19 on a ticket that expires before I even get into LA.

8. At ticket machines you can get tickets for future dates.

9. Very disappointing introduction to the app ☹️What good is an app when the service it supports is useless? Metrolink can't keep the trains running.

10. I have to key in the cc code every time, what is the point of having this in an app if I have to pull out my credit card.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Metrolink Issues

1. Fix Metrolink Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Metrolink: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Metrolink App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Metrolink" » Open Metrolink » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Metrolink » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Metrolink app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Metrolink servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Metrolink" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Metrolink app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Metrolink might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Metrolink. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Metrolink then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Metrolink not working


2. Fix Metrolink Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Metrolink be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Metrolink not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Metrolink may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
