NZ Traffic Customer Insights

1. If you turn off the Timelapse in settings the app seems to work well enough but now no longer shows the date stamp, so can't see when they were last refreshed, but if it is up to date, could be of some use.

2. :-) Thanks for the quick response Josh.Great app, but I seem to be having issues with seeing the cameras.

3. I use this daily to help hubby's company with traffic updates and to avoid congestion and accidents, so the cameras are really helpful, but now it's just black.

4. As a result, once the feed is down, I can't check on the road conditions (like what I am experiencing right now).Live... No same pic then I log in same pic 10 minutes later.

5. It even gives an audible warning when approaching a sharp bend.Just installed this app, and from what I have seen so far, it is proving to be an excellent tool.

6. Still same pic🤔was having the same issue as the user below since the last update, but managed to fix it by clearing the app data.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NZ Traffic Issues

1. Fix NZ Traffic Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NZ Traffic: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NZ Traffic App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NZ Traffic" » Open NZ Traffic » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NZ Traffic » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NZ Traffic app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NZ Traffic servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NZ Traffic" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NZ Traffic app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NZ Traffic might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NZ Traffic. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NZ Traffic then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NZ Traffic not working


2. Fix NZ Traffic Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NZ Traffic be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NZ Traffic not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NZ Traffic may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
