Dimplay Customer Insights

1. If you want to start making changes to this app then introduce the ability to store recordings in another location like external card and make this app Amazon FireTV compatible.Simple and basic, but unable to load an EPG list.

2. Great app ,but i hope in the next update you will add this features 1-we will be able to add m3u file 2- the app orientation will be automatically when i switch the phone from portrait to landscape 3- add picture in picture to watch outside the appVersion 1.46 has become unstable.

3. one needs to click on Notification then from menu it needs to stop.Great looking app so far but not sure the recording option is working.

4. The app stop working and I have removed it and reinstall it but the issue still as the same.Good player , nice graphics and very good recorder.

5. Also unable to nominate download destination, so not a clue where any download go to???? The app works well enough in its simplicity but I'm afraid until it gets the aforementioned problems fixed it's no use.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dimplay Issues

1. Fix Dimplay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Dimplay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dimplay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dimplay" » Open Dimplay: Live Player » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dimplay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dimplay: Live Player app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dimplay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dimplay: Live Player" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dimplay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dimplay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dimplay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dimplay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dimplay not working


2. Fix Dimplay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dimplay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dimplay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dimplay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
