1. I miss Icon, who wasn't even very suave online.One of the better Credit Union apps I've used! Easy to use interface where you can check your balance, deposit checks, transfer money between accounts, and many other things! The only thing I can see needing improvement is the addition of biometrics for login, and the ability to easily find your routing information for checking.They need an "this version is no longer supported" message instead of a "we're sorry but we are having difficulties.

Looking forward to updating my opinion in another 2+ yearsWorks great; gives me the ability to transfer money to all my friends and family who also have a Horizon account, simple and quick access to seeing my account balances and transferring between them, and I love that I don't have to come into a branch to make a payment on my VISA or deposit my checks (with no fee! Looking at you, US Bank).

3. I also like that as soon as I close the app it goes back to the log in screen it doesn't stay open.I love having the ability to keep track of my finances and do all my banking online!! The app is user-friendly and intuitive and allows instant results.

4. It does not allow you to do things like set up auto pay, pay off a credit card until you get a notice in the mail that you are $.7. short on your payment and they want to make you delinquent in your payments.

5. UPDATE: Over 2 years later and I still love banking with my Ephrata, WA branch! You guys rock! Thanks for keeping my banking experience friendly and trouble free.

6. Needed a bit of help to set up that initial temporary password but after that it was smooth sailing.This is a pretty weak banking app, from the perspective of someone who banks entirely online with Capitol One.

7. Especially appreciate the mobile check depositing!!!!!This app makes my online banking very easy.

8. I tried five times to pay the $.70 before this letter and the app would not let me make the payment.Love it! Much faster and more convenient than using telephone.

9. Try again later", or something similar, message which prevented me from realizing my old phone, which couldn't update to the new version, was the problem and not that they were having technical difficulties.

10. It is better than their website, however, which has two separate websites and logins for banking and making payments.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Horizon Issues

1. Fix Horizon Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Horizon: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Horizon App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Horizon" » Open Horizon Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Horizon » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Horizon Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Horizon servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Horizon Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Horizon app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Horizon might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Horizon. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Horizon then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Horizon not working


2. Fix Horizon Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Horizon be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Horizon not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Horizon may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
