1. Ultimately, though, I chose to try MOVO because the worst reviews seemed to be personally responded to in the Play Store--what a great look for customer service, right? When I was unable to sign up, I got an immediate message instructing me to retry as I must have entered my information incorrectly.

It's probably fine if you never need help, but if you need assistance with the app you're stuck.All these issues... was told Visa processing down for 2 weeks, now i found my card blocked for fraud!!!! emails stating they need my personal info, PLUS another saying they have network issues affecting most customers.

7. Even after transferring funds for over a year, they lock your account and funds, then require you to send a selfie with your ID and face via unsecured email (seems like a stall tactic to me) ... What financial institution today does that?? ... No security seems to be in place.

8. I have not had one had experience using their banking or app in the 3 years I've used them.Stay away! While this app seems to work okay, Movo itself appears to have serious security issues.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MOVO Issues

1. Fix MOVO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MOVO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MOVO App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MOVO" » Open MOVO - Mobile Cash & Payments » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MOVO » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MOVO - Mobile Cash & Payments app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MOVO servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MOVO - Mobile Cash & Payments" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MOVO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MOVO might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MOVO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MOVO then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MOVO not working


2. Fix MOVO Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MOVO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MOVO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MOVO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
