Hunter BTT Customer Insights

1. Months of frustration, was a huge mistake to buy a Bluetooth-only device.When installed on a S20 samsung phone why do I need my location turned on in order 2 connect 2 my Bluetooth watering unit.

2. Satisfied overall with the product and the app.It took a week and two different controllers to be able to connect the first time.

3. On switching on the Hunter BTT the BTT controller isn't saved and has to be scanned for every time - (on the previous version the controller would be saved) 2.

4. I tried turning both zones off because it has rained enough but after turning off all watering days and changing run time to zero then hitting save it shows that it is all off but then this morning I woke up to the sprinklers on.

5. Tried it all again, force stop on app but still SAVE button does not work!!!!!!!!!Every time it opens a message 'debug 15' pops up.

6. I'm hoping the physical device stands up to time.App can't connect to device (inches away) from both Lenovo and LG Q7+.

7. Run out of space for fuWe have two huawei p smart phones - 2020 models The last Hunter App version worked 100% okay on our Hunter BTT 0F7E6.

8. Going to settings and switching on a zone and switching on, this setting doesn't get saved.

9. Reverting to older version (workaround offered by Hunter) worked for a while only on LG and only partially - no seconds setting, just minutes.

10. Today's watering time is for some reason stuck at 9 seconds.

11. Every time I try to connect, it asks for the password.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Hunter BTT Issues

1. Fix Hunter BTT Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Hunter BTT: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Hunter BTT App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Hunter BTT" » Open Hunter BTT » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Hunter BTT » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Hunter BTT app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Hunter BTT servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Hunter BTT" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Hunter BTT app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Hunter BTT might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Hunter BTT. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Hunter BTT then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Hunter BTT not working


2. Fix Hunter BTT Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Hunter BTT be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Hunter BTT not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Hunter BTT may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
