What users are saying

1. I'm not sure why there are different apps available for download and if I'm even using the correct one?! I'm in the U.S. and there is a separate U.S. version?! That one doesn't work right either and I promptly uninstalled it.The layout/interface went from being awful to acceptable.

2. This review is solely regarding the app - their Direct Savings account still has a great rate, and overall their deposit and credit card products continue to meet my needs.Just installed the app and it crashes when I select check deposit.

3. The chaos of this app did not allow me to see a balance from a lost credit card that I had forgotten I had used, and ended up having to find out through a final notice before the 90 day mark in which it was sent to collections.

4. Lately when I open the app the first thing it does is tell me there's a network error and I need to close the app and reload it before I can even get to the login screen.

5. So far HSBC has been a bad banking experience. One of the worst mobile banking apps.

6. I plan to never use the credit card unless absolute emergency and then make payments only through my (simple) bank bill payer.

7. Leaving the app for just a moment to do something in another app, or allowing the screen to turn off from inactivity, often abandons whatever I was working on.Horrible Experience! I have never encountered anything as ridiculous as this app.

8. The password has to be different than online banking which is something I've never experienced with another banking app.

9. Far too many security checks.. I have been using my password for over 2 years and never was I prompted to change it.

10. I also have to enter in the unique device password each time (when I'm able to access my accounts).

11. The app also makes you create a different password OTHER than the username and password you already created.
