1. This program does a good job at video recording your trips, I have used this several times and have been very impressed, it even does good in heavy rain, but not so good at night, I know this depends on the quality of your phones camera.

2. I do agree that the night time recording is rather difficult to get adjusted but it is more based on your phone's camera capabilities and not the app itself.

3. Otherwise, this program is simple, easy to install and use and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good dash cam from their cell phone.Refund please.

4. So far it's been excellent, especially the stabilization that is not available on my camera on this older phone.

5. It records fine if you leave the screen on but that ruined a phone because the screen burned into the image of the phone.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix AutoGuard Dash Cam Issues

1. Fix AutoGuard Dash Cam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart AutoGuard Dash Cam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the AutoGuard Dash Cam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "AutoGuard Dash Cam" » Open AutoGuard Dash Cam - Blackbox » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for AutoGuard Dash Cam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear AutoGuard Dash Cam - Blackbox app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from AutoGuard Dash Cam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "AutoGuard Dash Cam - Blackbox" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check AutoGuard Dash Cam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, AutoGuard Dash Cam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall AutoGuard Dash Cam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall AutoGuard Dash Cam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing AutoGuard Dash Cam not working


2. Fix AutoGuard Dash Cam Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make AutoGuard Dash Cam be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to AutoGuard Dash Cam not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, AutoGuard Dash Cam may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • On Samsung A71 and Samsung A52s 5G the app dims after a while. No matter how high your brightness is on your phone or in the settings in the app, the app dims after 2 mins. Forced in dual screen, the brightness stays put, that's what I want!
