1. Lets you sync your device and download video and photos to your smartphone through a built-in Wi-Fi® connection.
2. And with the press of a button, share your treasured picks via social media or email. • View a live video feed on the dash cam or on a smartphone via the companion app. • Pause, record, and delete videos on the dash cam, remotely through the app. • Use the app’s organization screen to sort videos and photos, emergency incidents and memories. • Share images and photos quickly on social media, in an email or text.
1. Took about 5 minutes to install, configure and learn how to use it!!App keeps crashing, won't connect to the camera, so I'm unable to upload any videos! Can't even view them through the app!! I've Uninstalled, and reinstalled the app several times, and still having the same problems! Please do an update to fix the bugs! It worked well the first year, and now it sucks!I have a galaxy s7.
2. The camera works just fine! Also the map never worked due to needing to be connected to internet, which you cannot do if you're connected to the camera's wifi... Like others, I got this for the app/xfer features.
3. My phone will connect to the camera's WiFi, but the app just continually loads and never shows the live feed or stored videos.
4. You also cannot download updates for the camera since it requires a connection to the phone to do so.I'm updating this review to 5 stars.
5. This one seems to have a WiFi issue between the camera and app on Android 9 not allowing them to communicate.
6. Rand McNally, you dropped the ball on this one.Only thing I don't like is when you are connected to the camera it has your internet disabled.
7. The app used to work, only stays open when wifi is turned off; defeats the purpose of having connections via wifi if app shuts down as soon as you try to connect to wifi.
8. If I ever need a video from the camera I have to physically take the memory card out and put it into my phone.
9. You can either connect to the camera and have a dumb phone OR you can disconnect from the camera and have a Smartphone.
10. Installed it and camera connected right away, stays connected and no problems after 15 days.
11. It blows my mind that a company like Rand McNally, who charges several hundred dollars for their dash cams and GPS units, can't figure out how to design an app that will just function like it's intended to.
