1. Everyone seems to be leaving in droves, so who am I left to talk with? I'm stuck correcting English essays for people who aren't from my target languages.I really like the concept - it makes it super easy to learn from native speakers (the best way!).
2. Also, when navigating back between chats it's so cumbersome and broken that it's easier to force close and reopen.One of the best apps to learn and meet people, major problem here though is when you make a mistake posting stuff you can't edit, which is frustrating.
3. You can find a lot of people to talk to though so that helps if you already know enough of a language.The app is great for kids and adults to learn on.
4. The big downside is that more then half the time, people are just looking for "dating."A really great app for connecting with native speakers of your target language.
5. I think it is great for people who have a start in the language (at least self introduction) and want to improve further.
6. ALSO: Please add dark mode 🙏It was a great app until about a year or two ago when it must have switched owners/handlers.
7. We are now plagued with outrageous policy changes, fewer and fewer people to talk with, a boatload of advertisments, and daily connection issues/glitches.
8. Just like on any social platform, weird and untrustworthy people will message you, but you can just report and block them.
9. Other than that a very solid app, highly recommended.The most annoying part is no dark mode.
10. The online and typing statuses randomly disappear at times and it's easy to automatically waste free daily translations.
11. There's lot of way to search for people around the world, but has very weird and limited way of doing so.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HelloTalk Issues
1. Fix HelloTalk Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart HelloTalk: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the HelloTalk App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HelloTalk" » Open HelloTalk - Learn Languages » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HelloTalk » click "UPDATE".
- Clear HelloTalk - Learn Languages app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HelloTalk servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HelloTalk - Learn Languages" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check HelloTalk app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HelloTalk might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall HelloTalk. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HelloTalk then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HelloTalk not working
2. Fix HelloTalk Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HelloTalk be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HelloTalk not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HelloTalk may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hello.
I have been unable to access voice rooms since about a month ago. I will attach a screen recording showing my problem.
I do have a vpn on my phone, for work so I wonder if that's blocking something specific for VRs as I can still view livestreams ok.
Are you able to advise if there are any ip addresses or urls that I need to unblock in my vpn to get voice rooms to function please?

I had a HelloTalk account but I’ve deleted it for some reasons and now I’m trying to register again and it’s not working it says ( HelloTalk only allows 1 HelloTalk account per device all accounts registered with same device are linked in HelloTalk database ) I don’t know what to do or what is the problem so I need ur help and please let me in and use ur app and im looking forward for your reply .

Hi HelloTalk comer service. I am new user on this app and without free trial I apply for the VIP account when I started using this app. And I didn’t clear saw any advices to try this just for a month and I applied for yearly subscription which is I paid my money for the hole year. but after a few days of using HelloTalk I am not satisfied with this app. The explanation wasn’t that clear and I thought I will be able to do more action to improve my learning. I so disappointed and unfortunately I would like to delete my account and ask for a full refund, please. If you need more information, please let me know. please help me resolve this problem.

My account seems to be hacked my country and my native language it's been changed. And I don't know how can i turn it back i hope you'll change it as soon as possible.

I am not able to create a new account. I was having some problems that's why i deleted Hellotalk but i was going to create a new account , it shows you can't use Hellotalk further in this device, Before this , what i was sending any message it was showing you are temporarily suspended, I am not able to create any new account.
