What users are saying

1. I tried closing and reopening the app several times, even restarting my phone (very unlikely the problem as all other apps work fine) exact same result.

2. As noted by other reviews, the issue is with the initial login step - for me it works about 2 out of every 10 attempts, and more often than not I have to reinstall the app.

3. Used to work fine but it hasn't been updated in over 6 months so it's no surprise it's stopped working.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HealthEquity Issues

1. Fix HealthEquity Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HealthEquity: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HealthEquity App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HealthEquity" » Open HealthEquity Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HealthEquity » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HealthEquity Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HealthEquity servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HealthEquity Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HealthEquity app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HealthEquity might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HealthEquity. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HealthEquity then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HealthEquity not working


2. Fix HealthEquity Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HealthEquity be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HealthEquity not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HealthEquity may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
