1. Alway try to download pictures to your local device, always try to sync, I use a Samsung galaxy ultra 22 in very good condition , but if you use this app or just installed this power off soon.After countless attempts to have Gem Lightbox restore the image file size to what it was they have stopped communicating with me and do not appear to care.

2. Can't login to email, won't let me reset email password, app does not work for the Pixel 4 cameras, light box was nice when it worked but it's basically an expensive dust collector nowClassic example of good hardware rendered useless by terrible software.

3. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to require logging into the internet just to use a turn table... Edit: App is still broken junk since last review in 2019.

4. I wanted to upgrade review (from 2 stars to 4 stars) as after I wrote it, they updated the software that stopped the crashes.

5. Well now all of my videos and pictures are constantly trying to sync with the cloud that is full and there is no way to turn off sync.

6. I'm using with a pixel 3, which was updated (android 11) around the same time as gemlightbox software was updated.

7. Also, every time I open the app a notification pops up that my cloud is full and that I should buy more space.

8. I find it incredibly frustrating to get certain colored stones to their exact color when the app only lets you control brightness, sharpness and tone.

9. A low-resolution output.Since the latest update the viewfinder is completely whitewashed, as if the app cannot handle the light.

10. I do like eclipse filter too, works well and love the black background on images.Used to love this app.

11. Having to edit the photo/video in another app defeats the purpose.Recent update makes everything look grayscale.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GemHub Issues

1. Fix GemHub Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GemHub: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GemHub App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GemHub" » Open GemHub » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GemHub » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GemHub app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GemHub servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GemHub" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GemHub app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GemHub might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GemHub. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GemHub then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GemHub not working


2. Fix GemHub Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GemHub be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GemHub not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GemHub may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
