IndyStar Customer Insights

1. You want people to subscribe to the local paper, but you make it difficult to want to.The app refuses to acknowledge a long-time print edition subscriber who has authorized monthly payments via a credit card! On a tablet, the app insists that the user agree to an additional monthly charge of $4.99 even though the monthly S50.00 charge has been paid.

2. There is no credit card info shown for my account on the IndyStar website, but they've stored it somewhere because they charged me for 2 months. In an effort to support journalism I subscribe to the NYT, the WP, and the Indy Star when I moved to Fort Wayne a few years ago.

3. 12/12/20, Indiana leads cases of Covid19 per capita, vaccine just released and not a thing about that! Sports articles are more than half the content and no way to filter them away, grrrrrrrrr...Different "news" than printed edition.

4. After complaint, got email directing me a Tennessee newspaper site to actually sign in...but you have to use a computer (not phone or tablet) Calling this app seems like a stretch.BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU SUBSCRIBE!! They will change their monthly prices and not tell you.

5. We travel, suspend delivery of the print edition, and while we are away, are gouged for access to the only source of local news. It's okay when it works.

6. The one good thing is at least they're not robbing me for the print edition.

7. Just expect problems with it jumping around to different sections/pages and the stupid "bonus section" popup screwing you up.Too many ads make the app unusable... hope you like scrolling endlessly until you get pissed and close the app altogether.

8. But they've billed me for 2 full months on my credit card using a fictitious name.

9. After spending the week on trying to gain access they still weren't able to give access to what I paid for.

10. When able to load enewspaper it often refuses to turn paper or sends me to index instead of article I've highlighted.

11. Past few days it's been telling me access is not available on mobile devices.
