Why should I report an Issue with ExpressLanes?

1. AppContacter will directly Email your issue/feedback to an apps's customer service once you report an issue and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen to you.
2. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of Expresslanes to your problem using the strength of crowds.
3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.

1. The app's estimated toll when I entered was $5.70; the actual billed toll was $17.10! I know the estimation is just an approximation, but this was ridiculous.Fix your app, all it does is show an ex splash screen persistently even after an uninstall and reinstall.Not intuitive at all, hard to use and make sense of on a cellphone....reminder -> this is a mobile app....Fresh install, doesn't open.

2. Toll estimator is a joke: On 10/10/2018, I entered the toll lanes at their start in McLean at 5:10 p.m. to drive southbound to the Gallows Road exit, a 7 mile trip, which took about 10 minutes.

3. The map is unuseable as it fails to register most touches and when dragging (panning) it often stops recognizing the second touch point and refreshes the map back to original center.Horrible app has continuously quit when trying to use for years.

4. You'd think after raping people's wallets with their $30 evening commutes, VDOT could afford to actually find some someone that could make an app worth a damn.Still says reversal at 1100 when the signs on the EZPass say 1030.

5. The app much like the Department of Trasportation in Virginia is completely useless, not to mention the unabashed highway robbery of the Express Lanes costing daily commuters up to $50 one way everyday and somehow they get away with it.

6. Unbelievable to charge amounts like that for commuters who live so far away because they can't afford to live closer to the DC area.

7. Cannot log into my account but when you try to reset the password, the reset link takes you to a dead page.

8. It is an absolute waste of space even if you have infinite space.Awful implementation on android (Galaxy S23 Ultra).

9. Also, is it open northbound or southbound or still closed for reversal RIGHT NOW?! This app can't tell you.

10. If you want to select a trip by entrance and exit it's even harder than before.

1. Fix ExpressLanes Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart ExpressLanes: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the ExpressLanes App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ExpressLanes" » Open ExpressLanes » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ExpressLanes » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear ExpressLanes app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ExpressLanes servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ExpressLanes" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check ExpressLanes app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ExpressLanes might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall ExpressLanes. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ExpressLanes then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ExpressLanes not working

2. Fix ExpressLanes Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ExpressLanes be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ExpressLanes not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ExpressLanes may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
