1. More stars when other functions (including tilt in timelapse) returns.Needed to use the active track at a video shoot but guess which app decided it didn't feel like working properly and wasted 2 hours of valuable time? Why offer such expensive gear if the unreliable apps make the big money features obsolete.

2. Feels like I got scammed since nothing official says this functionality would be missing for us, and there's no good support for the shutter issue.

3. For example, Firmware info: "N/A", battery info: 0%, Sleep button does not do anything, firmware upgrade fails (although connected to Internet and to the gimbal).

4. Can't find a way to contact support through the app.Would be very usefull if you could use the follow focus option while doing a time-lapse, or setting a route to follow in the 'track' mode.

5. Already ran into this limit quite some times when using the 'track' mode.Was unable to update the firmware for the Ronin SC via this app.

6. Even the camera compatibility chart says the shutter should fire without issue.

7. I got the Ronin SC partly for this feature.App version 1.2.0 installed on two phones, LG G6 and Samsung A3.

8. The app connects to Ronin SC and the activation goes well, but no information from the gimbal is displayed in none of the application's screens.

9. Before you ask: yes the gimbal, camera, and app are all updated, and connected according to the manual.

10. Message come up randomly even if I haven't used it in weeks saying "the Ronin app has stopped" then asks if I'd like to wait or close when it's not even open.

11. Perhaps in a next version of the application? Edit: Also, it would be Very nice if the limit on waypoints (currently 10) was removed or raised.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DJI Ronin Issues

1. Fix DJI Ronin Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DJI Ronin: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DJI Ronin App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DJI Ronin" » Open DJI Ronin » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DJI Ronin » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DJI Ronin app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DJI Ronin servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DJI Ronin" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DJI Ronin app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DJI Ronin might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DJI Ronin. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DJI Ronin then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DJI Ronin not working


2. Fix DJI Ronin Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DJI Ronin be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DJI Ronin not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DJI Ronin may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
