First15 Customer Insights

1. The devotionals are amazing, but I can't give 5 stars if I can't use all of the featuresThe devotionals are great & I've found them very useful in my pursuit of God, but this app is terrible! I listened to the devotionals via this app every single morning since I found it well over a year ago, until 8/22 when they updated the app.

2. I have to hit play multiple times and (most of the time) the app just skips forward to the meditation part without playing the devotional.

3. It is easy to use,the devotional and meditations are great and very helpful.Love this app.

4. I prefer to listen to the devotional from within the app, but with the upgrade, it skips & jumps & parts are missing.

5. I actually had to uninstall because the audio hijacked my media output & was playing along with anything else I tried to play.I have been using this app since 2016.

6. I listen while I'm driving, so I have to take my eyes off the road in order to swipe back to the devotional.

7. I've found other apps where I'm able to listen to the devotionals, but it's not the same.

8. This devotional is prepared so you can worship, pray, study and learn the Word of God all at the same time.

9. The old app used to allow me to track which devotionals I had completed and this feature is missing in the new version.Bringing me closer w/ God.

10. The song at the end isn't on the other apps and you're not given the option to read along.I've been using this app for years.

11. Some days the new devotional doesn't load and I have to reinstall the app to see the current day's devotional.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix First15 Issues

1. Fix First15 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart First15: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the First15 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "First15" » Open First15 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for First15 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear First15 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from First15 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "First15" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check First15 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, First15 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall First15. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall First15 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing First15 not working


2. Fix First15 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make First15 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to First15 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, First15 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
