1. As a result of this behaviour of the app the user can not easily view the start of a recorded on the SD card event -- if the cursor is just before the start of the record then the app complains that there is no recorded footage for that time, if the cursor is after the start of the record then the app works, but the user has missed seeing the very start of the event.

2. In SD-card playback mode it is somewhat annoying to see that when the user positions the cursor between two recorded events the app is incapable of going to the start of the next event, instead it complains that there is no footage for the selected time and stalls.

You now need one full day to watch the recorded events from one day, which is rather impractical, because the whole point of using a recording security camera (and not just a monitoring camera) is to be able to quickly skip forward to an automatically detected event, but still show in quick pace what happened.

4. Verdict: if this app had fast-speed forward and also fast backward playback; and if it also could automatically jump from one detected event to the next in cloud-storage mode (and if it did not complain about no record for the selected time but just jumped to the start of the next event in SD card mode) then I would have given it 5 stars and would have recommended to try it.

5. Now all seem to be on constant record so I cannot pin point a specific time when an even occured! I don't want continuous recording! And one of my devices now all of a sudden does not recognise when ANY SD card is inserted! I refuse to buy the expensive cloud service when it is not needed.

6. The app allows the user to easily view footage from past time, to download footage and still pictures and to record in real time the current stream from the camera.

7. In this mode the user must either watch the whole day at normal speed (because there is no fast-speed playback) or must manually move forward the cursor from time to time, which is rather inefficient and time wasting.

8. Only use this app if you must do this because you have no other option or because you do not know how to setup your camera to work with a different app.I enjoy using this app.

9. It needs a reminder of cloud service expiring, allow video download from cloud without having to save first, bigger thumbnails in the cloud list of videos and silent autoplay so I can easily delete without opening each video.

10. This is a really poor show considering I spent a lot of money on these cameras and high quality sd cards!The app is OK, once you manage to connect it to the camera.

11. It is easy to install and setup and comes with one month of free cloud storage, which is handy for trying it out (no credit card is required for the trial).

  4. Check Care Home app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Care Home might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Care Home. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Care Home then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Care Home not working


2. Fix Care Home Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Care Home be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Care Home not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Care Home may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
