Mood SMS Customer Insights

1. I even paid for premium because I really enjoyed the look of the app at first, but now I wish I wouldn't have because I keep having to send people screenshots of what messages I sent since they aren't getting them.

2. It has been great for so long, but lately pictures don't load anymore and if I tap on a notification for a new message it does not take me to that conversation, it opens up to the last conversation I had up, even if it was with another person.

3. I'm really disappointed because I love so much about this app, but a lot of the basic functionality is just not working anymore.I love the themes and options for customization, but literally one in every three texts I send don't go through.

5. Mood has it all! I've been through several text apps, and was SO done with clients not receiving messages or texts not sending.

6. There are ads in the main message list, the customizable background image for the main message list has such a low opacity that it's not even worth it, and a lot of other people aren't liking it either because of the 3.9 star average.

7. On top of that, my messages don't seem to send reliably with this update - the wait cursor just spins for minutes at a time.

8. Currently looking for A different app.😑 This app used to be fantastic and had a lot of great features for the user to enjoy, especially the themes! However, that is all in the past now, as this app sucks more with every update that's made.

9. πŸ˜” Every time I send a text, I get an error saying, "failed to send", even if it actually did send.

10. So my app has to be reliable, quick to use, cute to look forward to using it, a delay feature for last minute typo fixes, with gifs and stickers to personalize convos.

11. Moreover, there had been virtually no response from customer service despite several attempts to reach them.I love this! It has everything you need without a million ads or transactions.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Mood SMS Issues

1. Fix Mood SMS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Mood SMS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Mood SMS App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Mood SMS" » Open Mood SMS - Messages App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Mood SMS » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mood SMS - Messages App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Mood SMS servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mood SMS - Messages App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Mood SMS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Mood SMS might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Mood SMS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Mood SMS then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Mood SMS not working


2. Fix Mood SMS Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Mood SMS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Mood SMS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Mood SMS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • i have 2:
    -When I'm messaged by an unknown number it is not saved in my normal chat list and i cannot find it again. Is there a place these unknown numbers are stored and how can i get access to it?

    i tried multiple times to pay the life time cost for the app but an error message always pops up and prevents me from purchasing it.

  • Hi have had the app for 4 yrs? About paid for premium. Have never had 8ssues with 2 previous phones. Just got Motorola Edge G5 uw it's not enabling me to receive pictures etc from people. I get text tho... Verizon says I need to delete this app and use traditional boring ones. Any answers would be immensely appreciated. Love my MOOD!

  • I am unable to take a picture within the mood messenger app to send in the text. The app says "Can't save photo Camera doesn't have permission to save to this location"
    I have given permission for the app to use camera"
    I had the problem occur on my pixel 4a with updated android software, now I have a pixel 6 with updated software and it still has same problem.

  • I have had your app on my phone for over a year. I only use it for texting and do not want it for any other purpose. Recently it has begun an annoying habit of summarizing my phone calls even though I do not use it as the default phone app. I have googled the issue but it says to go to settings and turn off the Mood Caller ID and AfterCall feature. When I go to that setting in Mood and select it, it asks me to enable it. It appears to already be enabled as it is annoying me and I certainly do not want to hit a button that says "enable". Please tell me how to make it stop summarizing phone call activity. I do not want to uninstall your app but will do so if it continues. Thank you. P.S. I attempted to use the "Assistance" feature form in your app to report this issue but when I press "send" it tried to send an email to "support@redacted" which according to yahoomail is not a valid email address.

  • I enjoy knowing who is texting me by the individual notification sound on my Android phone and Mood messenger. When I was receiving a group message I could still hear the sound of the individual who is messaging. Since the update that allows users to assign a notification for a group text I am now not getting the individual notification sounds in group chat. I've tried silent... And default just plays the default notification tone. I hope there is a workaround. Or how can I go back to the way it was BEFORE the update is that possible. It's a simple thing I use since alot of my texting is in groups. Thanks!

  • September 17, 2021, I did am update. September 18, 2021, my security stated Mood Messages was a risk app and warned to uninstall. I did not realize all my texts, and pictures in this app, would be deleted. I'm very sad about this. Please contact with how to reinstall and restore my account. If this is not available, please stop my subscription.

    I would greatly appreciate a call at 847-826-1309. Thank you for the years of so much fun with your app. I hope things can be fixed.

  • Hello. My name is Myra Daniels. I have purchases the premium app twice. the second time was because I thought the first payment did not go through, but now after the second time, I am a little concerned. Whenever I make to purchase, the gold badge comes up for a about a day, then goes away.

    I do really like this app and have had it for a long time and replaced my regular message app. (Samsung note 10) I could not even send this message from my phone, I have to use a desktop because it continues to fail in sending the message.

    There was one warning message "try to add mood messenger to DOZE system battery saver. Whenever I try to it fails. I tried to do the diagnostic from the app, but I cant seem to find simple mobile sms service center number. If these are the issues please let me know, and how can I receive a refund for at least one for one of the lifetime premium subscriptions. Thanks in advance my contact # 832-347-7226
