Branch Customer Insights

1. Customer service is nice but pointless because they can't fix it.So far so good, took less than a day to verify everything, and the app is very easy to navigate! Having issues getting advances as all of a sudden they stopped being able to see my past direct deposits which makes it impossible it receive advances now :'-(.

2. Giving 4 stars, took one away because it was 5 months of problems before resolved.Almost a waste of my time now.. I use to be able to get an advance but once the app updated and went with the new card payment method I have not been able to advance.

3. I have always been in good standing with my advances...deleting app at the end of the monthTo my surprise, I literally thought one had a choice to keep their direct deposit they way it is or you could sign up for this silly app.

4. UninstallingSo this was a really good app! Not sure what is happening with it now..I keep getting an "OOPS cannot connect to plaid" error, I hit the try again button and nothing happens.

5. Wish I could post a picture of the two days of me waiting for someone to respond because the instant pay has a literal programming error.

6. They have good customer service that actually responds in a appropriate amount of time.

7. The app FREQUENTLY disconnects from your Bank or malfunctions verifying the information so when you need a loan, it's a possibility that you won't be able to obtain it.

8. Then after that it never would allow me an advance ever again and never recognized when I was at work those 40 hours a week I was there even though my location was turned on.

9. Terrible compared to our previous scheduling app.I have used a good handful of different lending/budgeting apps.

10. The app only allows you to take the approved amount in increments, thus increasing the fee you pay, if you aren't using their bank card.

11. The terms of the transfer also shows that they are a predatory app as they were 3.99 one week and upgraded to 4.99 for the instant fee.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Branch Issues

1. Fix Branch Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Branch: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Branch App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Branch" » Open Branch: A Better Payday » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Branch » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Branch: A Better Payday app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Branch servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Branch: A Better Payday" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Branch app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Branch might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Branch. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Branch then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Branch not working


2. Fix Branch Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Branch be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
