1. You're better off just getting on a PC and going to the website via your favorite browser if you want to engage in online banking.The app is running super slow (when it doesn't just totally freeze up) since the last update.
2. I hope they fix these issues soon.I really love the convenience of this app, but please fix it! It's quite frustrating when it just continually keeps showing the "check connectivity" message and you can't get into the app! Especially when I want to check my balances or transfer money or anything like that.
3. But when i open up my email or text messaging app, the Bank of the West app will close down in the background as soon as i open any other app, requiring it to be re-opened after receiving the code.
4. It freezes for no discernible reason and gives me error messages when I try to do something as simple as look at an account! This is 4th time I've installed it over the past year, hoping against hope that they've improved something but that clearly isn't part of their program.
5. If you check the other comments here you'll see a ton of people are having issues since the June update.
6. I'm required to input my email address and a confirmation code every time I open it, even after setting up a mobile PIN.
7. And when you re-open the app, the process starts over and another code is sent, only for the app to close again when you go to retrieve it.This app had been awesome to use especially since the closest branch is an hour away.
8. It also lacks many of the advertised features; for instance, the app is advertised as allowing you to deposit a check by simply taking a picture, but there is literally no option anywhere in the app to do this.
9. I have also been locked out of my account for incorrect sign in attempts with the correct usernames and passwords.
10. Stick to the website and steer clear of this mess.The app had been working fine for years.
11. Edit to add: It now (usually) works if I'm on wifi, but if I'm on data, it still doesn't work.
