Checkbook Plus Customer Insights

1. It doesn't have a fancy graph to 'show me where my money goes' but it is so much more reliable about tracking my money than even my bank! I can also leave memos about what I paid for and what my money specifically went to.I love that this app helps me keep track of multiple accounts.

2. Keeps track of all our accounts (partner, mine, savings) and I LOVE the recurring transactions feature.

3. This is the best app I've used, and I went through a few.I used to love this app and I bought the paid version so I could back up my data and now there is no longer an option to back up or export!! The app constantly freezes and crashes.

4. The only slight issue, which is no big deal, is that the + sign, to add transactions etc, is slightly covering the balance of my last account on the list.

5. There are a lot of helpful options when entering withdrawals or deposits & moving money between accounts is simple.

6. Love that the total balance of all accounts is on top and clear.Pretty good app.

7. Wish the font sizes would be smaller so some of my accounts don't keep getting cut off on the home screen.

8. 👏👏Overall pretty good I wish it had the ability to populate the same dollar amount as the last time you entered a transaction for that same Vendor.

9. What I do is I screenshot everything in the recurrence list and then just enter back in after I switch phones.I've been using this app for years! Nothing is behind a pay wall until like after 6 months to a year.

10. Only issue is the app will slow down or stop working when scrolling while you balance your accounts and you have to close out the app, then go back in.

11. I've tried deleting some accounts that I don't use that much and it still cuts off some text sometimes even though the entire screen isn't filled up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Checkbook Plus Issues

1. Fix Checkbook Plus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Checkbook Plus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Checkbook Plus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Checkbook Plus" » Open Checkbook Plus » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Checkbook Plus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Checkbook Plus app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Checkbook Plus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Checkbook Plus" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Checkbook Plus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Checkbook Plus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Checkbook Plus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Checkbook Plus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Checkbook Plus not working


2. Fix Checkbook Plus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Checkbook Plus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Checkbook Plus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Checkbook Plus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
