What users are saying

1. If the support team reads this, please update the app so I can access my funds :( Overall though, BitPay is a pretty solid app and has pretty much all of the qualities of a good wallet. It's pretty good.

2. one thing I will say I don't think refunds go through with their cards I've tried a small refund of around $5 and I didn't see it come through no big deal but if you're wondering if you might have to return an item I'd say use your banks debit card insteadWorst app ever... in my history of using apps.

3. This is clearly an intentional effort by bitpay to control coin flow for big wigs.best app for crypto hands down, supposedly theres a change of banks happening soon hopefully it doesn't change how they operate this app runs smooth and I haven't had any problems with customer support.

4. So annoying I wish there was something less than one star to give.😡😡😡Sent 500+ in BTC to my bitpay wallet and it has been over 12 hours with no confirmation yet on the Blockchain.

5. To fix the issue I wiped the data and cache and imported my wallet from another device that it was loaded on.Not sure if other people have had this problem, but I can't seem to swipe right to confirm transactions on my chromebook.

6. I've deleted the old wallet and try to set up a new one, but goes through the same exact process and never asks me to set up the FIRST password, it just creates the wallet.

7. Reinstalled and it worked once before getting a white screen again.I've been using bitpay for years now.

8. Coins are stored locally, although you can share your keyphrase between different platforms. Not a good experience trying to set up a wallet (Android).

9. I sent funds to my wallet hours ago, they received confirmations according to blockchain but they don't show up in the wallet for usually half a day.

10. You only have three attempts to verify IDs, and when it fails, they'll tell you to contact the support team that will eventually take ages to respond.

11. As far as using the card goes, I have had issues with it in the past (I'm talking almost two years ago) at stores and the like.

    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BitPay: Secure Crypto Wallet" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BitPay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BitPay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BitPay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BitPay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BitPay not working

2. Fix BitPay Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BitPay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BitPay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BitPay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
