bSafe Customer Insights

1. So currently it's just an icon that does nothing.Looks great but then the things that would make you download it like emergency live stream and everything (why I downloaded it) turn out to be a subscription service when the app is advertised as free.

2. I read some great reviews online suggesting this app had useful basic features with some neat add-ons available with a premium subscription, so I gave it a shot.

3. If you have Google on your phone it tracks you the same as this app does so not sure if it's worth a download after all.First off I read some of the comments and a lot of people are saying that the app doesn't recognize their number.

4. They responded to the first one after 2 weeks & never responded to the second message.Every time I try to send a verification code to confirm my identity, it says "invalid verification code" even though it's the one I received.

5. Now I can't even access the app to cancel my subscription.they take all your personal detials only to tell you this app is 100% paid, and you can even try it for free which explains its ratings.Wouldn't open.

6. A great idea, but the app needs work.Sadly, whilst initially praising this app way back in 2015, since around 2018 it has not displayed correct locations of people on my list.

7. Even the option to have a "guardian" account to connect with the people actually using the app for safety pulls up a subscription page.

8. Unlike the other people whining about paying, we didnt mind paying for the service... But in one of the last updates the app has become absolutely unusable.

9. However, out of the blue, my wife's app no longer would detect my location & wouldn't allow her to send me a "follow request" during her walks.

10. If you revoke the permission, it launches, but then tracking is all out of whack, sometime showing her in completely wrong neighborhoods, causing quite the scare.It worked pretty well for a while.

11. Apparently, sometime after those reviews were written, they changed their business model so that even the most basic features are behind a paywall.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix bSafe Issues

1. Fix bSafe Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart bSafe: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the bSafe App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "bSafe" » Open bSafe - Never Walk Alone » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for bSafe » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear bSafe - Never Walk Alone app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from bSafe servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "bSafe - Never Walk Alone" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check bSafe app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, bSafe might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall bSafe. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall bSafe then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing bSafe not working


2. Fix bSafe Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make bSafe be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to bSafe not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, bSafe may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
