What users are saying

1. kindly fix this and also add zoom photo option with OK buttonSweet, easy and simple user interface but no option to delete/rename/move/copy etc....Interesting design but screen not rendering correctly on my phone.

2. It shows you another about the code and where to find the enginesClunky interface for phone screen , good for tablets though.Good and simple.

3. Basically it doesn't do the basics of what a File Manager should do.Transferred files does not show without restarting App.

4. Doesn't find files in the Download directory that I've placed in there.

5. Use the RIGHT NAVIGATION button on your TV remote to DELETE any file.Absolutely awful.

6. No network options either.Great info and tools.

7. The only android PERMISSION it requires is STORAGE.

8. Try copy/move option.

9. Accidentally uninstalled it, so installing it again.

10. Works as advertised.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix File Explorer Issues

1. Fix File Explorer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart File Explorer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the File Explorer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "File Explorer" » Open File Explorer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for File Explorer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear File Explorer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from File Explorer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "File Explorer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check File Explorer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, File Explorer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall File Explorer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall File Explorer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing File Explorer not working

2. Fix File Explorer Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make File Explorer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to File Explorer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, File Explorer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
