1. I also tried on another phone in which, the initial attempt worked but due to audio issues, the doctor had to end the session but again, couldn't reconnect.Steep learning curve to set up your patient account, but once achieved, very detailed, very good app, wonderful.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HMSA's Online Care Issues

1. Fix HMSA's Online Care Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HMSA's Online Care: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HMSA's Online Care App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HMSA's Online Care" » Open HMSA's Online Care » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HMSA's Online Care » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HMSA's Online Care app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HMSA's Online Care servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HMSA's Online Care" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HMSA's Online Care app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HMSA's Online Care might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HMSA's Online Care. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HMSA's Online Care then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HMSA's Online Care not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HMSA's Online Care be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
