CheckMyTrip Customer Insights

1. The "oops" email response said I could add trips "easily and instantly with the "Add Trip" functionality within the app, even without a reservation number." But when I try, the result is "No flight available for this input".

2. I use this app for my boarding pass and won't be able to unless correctedForwarded the email provided by the supplier and couldn't add the booking to the app - "Our system was unable to read your trip details and import them into your account" THIS WAS THEIR OWN EMAIL! So I tried another confirmation email with the same result.

3. However, I have forwarded an email with the correct booking information at least 5 times (August 15th) but it shows up in the app as in March 2020.

4. So I switched to Google Trips, which showed all the information instantly.I used to use the app for many years and it was very usefull, but after the latest update, it turned into a useless app.

5. I tried to load the trip with the confirmation number.

6. Before my trips I have to try and keep up my travel plans, as well as trying to remember which airlines I'm traveling on, using several print outs of my confirmations.

7. I checked in on-line and got my seat and boarding pass, but CheckMyTrip was just as bad as the Tripit app and would not show my check-in status even after waiting for almost an hour.

8. But the worst thing is all the missing information, like gate number, seat number and ticket number.

9. Ticket number and seat selection information is no longer available.

10. I've tried the automatic option (by reservation #) and forwarded by email.

11. Can't add any trip directly and have to email the confirmation to have it added.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CheckMyTrip Issues

1. Fix CheckMyTrip Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CheckMyTrip: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CheckMyTrip App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CheckMyTrip" » Open CheckMyTrip » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CheckMyTrip » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CheckMyTrip app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CheckMyTrip servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CheckMyTrip" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CheckMyTrip app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CheckMyTrip might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CheckMyTrip. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CheckMyTrip then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CheckMyTrip not working


2. Fix CheckMyTrip Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CheckMyTrip be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CheckMyTrip not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CheckMyTrip may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
