1. If another user app tries to take over the microphone from PilferShush Jammer, the latest build (4. 4. 1) will try to restart a running passive jammer service automatically so that it complies with "the one that started capture the most recently receives audio" (quote from Android API docs).
2. Android 10 (Q) concurrent audio update: audio capture policy that means other recording apps can bump a prior recording audio app from the microphone.
3. Apps that try to record audio but do not have access to the microphone will be given zeroed audio data (silence) by the system even though they may still appear to be recording audio.
4. To block unwanted use of the microphone by hidden app processes, PilferShush Jammer requests use of the hardware microphone from the Android system and holds it.
5. When the jamming technique is running and the microphone is locked up, PilferShush Jammer posts a notification to keep the user informed that it is running.
6. The Android system should halt PilferShush Jammer from blocking the microphone whenever a phone call is received or made.
7. PilferShush Jammer blocks other apps attempting to utilise the microphone without your knowledge.
8. Some apps use hidden processes to record tracking audio in the background that is either generated by nearby beacons, television commercials, streamed music services or websites.
9. Also includes a scanner to check user installed apps for NUHF and Audio Content Recognition (ACR) SDKs as well as any services or receivers.
10. This tracking audio is transmitted between 18 kHz and 22 kHz (near ultra high frequency) which is beyond the range of typical human hearing but within the recording range of a typical Android phone.
11. This technique locks up the microphone from any other apps attempting to gain access to it.
1. yep your cameraThe plisher slush is good but can be encyption can be broken easlily and the app is self is able to be attack it self look at the pokemon go breach also you have to continue changing the volume and there no line to line security which there could be this which would be great so the the line is really secure also there a issue with the input output can be attack so that the user hear it and the attacker does not i was orginal not heating then after i had help programing it block third party niftyIT WORKS!!! Passive mode uses next to no power or other resources, while my old microphone blocker caused Audioserver power losses up to 10%.
2. same with my friend's phone. How come after a short while it shows two microphones active? Is that indication that someone is listening in? Also... What exactly does it mean when it says passive service found, and active service found? Thank youif your peeps have made you feel as though you are actually cracking up because YOU -- KNOW-- that things have been altered in your phone ... This is the app you need to once and for all show all of them in writing or rather typeprint.. every single listener and remote shared to local devices like your camera.
3. Hope my device wasn't hacked.Good app with a purpose, but recently (for the past two months or so) turning on the passive jammer has turned my phone's audio output into a jumbled and broken mess.
4. You can choose white noise or tone generation; passively engage the mic, preventing other apps or processes from accessing it; and look for malicious apps trying to surveil you.
5. It wants to be your assist app, which sees EVERYTHING on your screen! It also wanted permission to record audio, and be master of your device.Um NO THANKS,too many demands that I allow them access.
6. AWESOME!!! I cannot express how invaluable this app has been because of its wealth of information relating to its intended use as well as the variety of settings to dull out stalkers listening through your mic.
7. "Noise" is like rain, it can block annoying sounds in your environment(yelling, loud tv/music, etc.) and buffer out the bangs and thumps that wake you up.
8. My only concern is the effect it could potentially pose to animals but they'll tell you.Does what it says on the tin and more.
9. I will give a true star rating later, but I need to fully understand how this works and if it's doing what I hope I think it's supposed to do.
10. So far, so excellent. Why does passive keep shutting off as soon as i turn it on.
11. It appears to work really well so far, if nothing else it will give you a list of bad apps that use NUHF to listen in on group conversations.
