1. A calibration feature would allow the scale to show a positive dB scale of the loudness of the frequencies at the location of the phone.Good app, use it for fun in various situations.
2. Would it be possible for a user to "record" the average of that noise and subtract it from the curve (and subsequently spectrum)? I don't think that would be a difficult feature to implement, but it would make the results so much cleaner.Great app.
3. On the computer you can switch back and forth but on andriod it can only seem to do microphone.I would really like to see a pink noise calibration or something similar so I can be sure what my phone mic is picking up.
4. Also great for looking at bird calls to help identify them by sight...if you know what the spectrogram of the call looks like...but you can learn that while playing with this app!Using on my Amazon Fire 10.
5. Serves purpose wellThe app is really fun but I'm giving it three stars because I'm disappointed about not being able to record sound when I use my screen recorder.
6. I'm a retired electronics engineer (45 yrs on the job) and love all these new gadgets and apps.I've tried lots of these kinds of apps and this is the one I like the best due to its ease of use; most useful features directly accessible, not overly complicated and well designed display.
7. Other than that, really great app so far! Also looks like it hasn't been updated in almost 2 years...Used this for school lab report during lockdown.
8. Sticking with Spectroid for now.I like it but it would be extremely helpful if you could run analysis on both the audio file going to the speakers and what the microphone is picking up at the same time.
9. The only feature I'd like is the ability to calibrate the audio scale to other units.
10. Does one thing well! I use this with a clip-on microphone (guitar tuning mic thing) to monitor the health of high-speed motors.
11. The app will not allow screen recorders to record the audio along with the visual.
