1. Update: The developer sent an explanation of my "bug" comment, so I will upgrade my rating to 5 starsIt's an awesome app!!! Lots of great music theory with a moving circle of fifths And keyboard that helps you make sure what you're hearing is what's matching up with your ears! Very awesome for ear training or site reading!!! And many more applications!!! It's very user friendly!!! Great appWould have rated it more but I literally don't have a clue on it's usage.

2. As I explore the app and tap on random buttons to see what it does, my husband started giving me funny looks because I kept saying, aloud, "Oh wow!" "Oh my gosh this is so cool." "It can do that too?" And the Matching Chords tool? 😍👌🏻 I'm a novice multi-instrumentalist with enough music theory knowledge to do the basic stuff.

3. You have an option to view the scales, chords, and notes on a piano keyboard and also a guitar fretboard.Brilliant app if youre starting to learn theory or want to brush up.

4. Its the perfect tool to compose and have fun with; all scales, chords, and notes can be played back to you easily along with a very logical interface that facilitates learning.

5. The ability to listen to chord progression quickly and accurately with out (as a new learner) spending 20 minutes at the piano to address the chords and then learning a possible mistake is a massive time saver.

8. Could you guys possibley add an option for 'chord creation' where you could insert notes and have the app tell you all the ways it could be named, and maybe the option to invert a chord once selected.

9. I dont want to have to rely on charts, learning by ear and making the connections in my own head are easier as it listens to the notes you play and recognises them, trusting your instrument is in tune.

10. It has proved itsel a useful composition tool.Interesting app with many features, but there appears to be a bug in the "scales practice" section.

11. The little red arrow bounces around at random with the circle on circle of fifths, and selected notes will play only randomly when selected.

1. Fix Music Theory Companion Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Music Theory Companion: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Music Theory Companion App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Music Theory Companion" » Open Music Theory Companion » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Music Theory Companion » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Music Theory Companion app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Music Theory Companion servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Music Theory Companion" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Music Theory Companion app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Music Theory Companion might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Music Theory Companion. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Music Theory Companion then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Music Theory Companion not working

2. Fix Music Theory Companion Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Music Theory Companion be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Music Theory Companion not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Music Theory Companion may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
