1. I'm enjoying this application and will keep using it and hopefully benefit with a good credit score eventually.Good idea and have helpful features, but does little to improve credit as advertised, but provides some credit info.

2. Improve process speed!!Since signing up last year, I have had a really great experience using this app and card to rebuild my credit.

7. I basically use it as a secondary means to access money and mitigate loss because I can turn this card off quickly and it's not as impacting as having to shut down my actual bank card.

8. Customer service is polite bug leaves something to be desired it took 3 mthd to resolve getting a new card.

9. My credit increase slowed down to about a point a month, at which I finally decided to cancel Extra.

10. Especially since I never had any debt or credit accounts my entire life, so my credit score did not even exist.

11. Great app and service! Customer service is great, too!Constant disconnect from my "popular" bank.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Extra Issues

1. Fix Extra Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Extra: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Extra App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Extra" » Open Extra » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Extra » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Extra app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Extra servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Extra" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Extra app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Extra might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Extra. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Extra then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Extra not working


2. Fix Extra Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Extra be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Extra not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Extra may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

I can not activate my EXTRA card!! The app is horrible. It gets stuck and takes forever to move to the next page. I've typed in my phone number and it tells me my identity can't be authorized. Other times it ask me for a pin#. I don't have a pin#!? I've spent 2 months paying 12$ for this card to help my credit and haven't even been able to start using it. How do I link it with my bank?!? I've tried doing it on Chartway Credit Union to link it and it ask me for your member id or routing# and account number. No clue what the answers are to that?! What's even more frustrating is I tried 3 times on the chat sending screen shots and always get hung up on. You don't have a contact phone number?!!! I need for someone to fix the issues or I'm cancelling the card and service! I should receive 2 months for free because so far I've paid to payments 12 each, so 24 dollars and have gotten nothing in return!
